Event Description

Are you up for a little group challenge this weekend?

How about a little time to unplug (from electronics), so we

can unwind and be sure we're tending to our needs?!

"UNPLUGGED"

For purposes of this challenge, let's just say that each of us

can define for ourselves just how unplugged we'll be. Each

person can find the right balance that suits their situation

and abilities (e.g., perhaps you need your cell because

you're on call for work). But be sure to make it something

CHALLENGING! In other words, if you never watch TV, then

eliminating TV alone should not count for you! LOL!

START/END

Alright, we're starting at 5pm Friday (Sept. 6) and ending at

5pm on Sunday (Sept. 8).

HOW TO JOIN!

(If you're viewing this as an email, first click the RSVP link at

the bottom of the message).

Then RSVP on the event page (in the upper right corner) so

we know who all is joining us!!!

And be sure to comment below to let us know

what "unplugged" will mean for you - Ya know, so we can

hold you accountable on Sunday. :)

Annie - You're right - SO much clarity for ME too when I've done this! Once a month sounds perfect! No kids here, so no problem (well, besides Chad. hee, hee!). Totally LOVE the "SOS"!!!

Christy, thanks! I really get so much clarity when i do a S.S. I had heard of this idea of not speaking for a day and just reflecting and meditating. It is so great! If you can do it, I recommend it and try to do it myself once a month or so. I understand if you have kids, it's probably not gonna happen for long lol. Ohhhh... I just thought, you could call it- S O S ( Silent on Saturday.

Linda Ward - That sounds awesome!! So glad you could join us! :)  I'll be interested to hear if you notice any increase in mood without the news ....LOL!  (I had to stop watching years ago...)

This will be a bit of a challenge, but I will give up the unhealthy "goodies", and no news programs all weekend! I allow myself the goodies one day of the weekend!  Or, have news on as background noise. Not this weekend! Thanks for the challenge!!

Annie - I'm glad your so stoked!!! I'm totally jotting down your "Silent Saturday" concept for a future event here. Thanks for the inspiration! :)

Amy - You're a stronger woman than I. LOL!

Wow, such anguish over this decision! First I was just gonna give up TV. Naw, that's too easy. Ok, I'm up for the challenge. I'll stay off-line, arrrrg.....
