What are your dietary, natural health or green living interests and/or restrictions (or, more generally, why are you interested in joining this site)????
Genetic defect known as MTHFR (aka the motherfucker gene - I didn't name it that - that's what the doctors nicknamed it)
Genetic celiac sprue
because I have this combination of issues, I over-absorb and under-detoxify - so I have multiple chemical sensitivities.
I deal with this by being scrupulously careful with my diet, household cleaning supplies, personal grooming supplies, etc.
Diet: it's complicated! I carefully follow a gluten-free, casein-free, soy-free, peanut-free diet. I also avoid all known GMO foods including salmon, sugar from beets, corn and canola. I fully realize that soon all foods will be genetically engineered leaving humanity no safe food source. Until then, I do my best.
I avoid red meats because they are fed the grains that are toxic to me. The grass-fed beef, lamb, bison, etc will very soon have gmo alfalfa in it. Rather than acquire a taste for something I will soon have to phase out of my routine, I simply skip it.
My diet consists of fruits, vegetables, seeds, nuts, wild caught fish (not salmon and not farmed. farmed fish are fed the grains that are toxic to me) and organic, free-ranged eggs.
