Does anyone know of a Weston Price style (grain free) baby food recipe cookbook or website? Having a hard time finding grain free. We plan on introducing certain grains (quinoa, buckwheat amaranth,…Continue

I am a whole foods fanatic (mostly :) ). I am allergic to dairy. I am sensative to aspartame and msg and have done intense research on both products. I am interested in finding more locally grown foods.

She's doing really well. We have had a few set backs with confusion at daycare on her diet - but she's been off grains for quite awhile now and is enjoying more fish and chicken in her diet. My orientation with Dr Ryan was cancelled due to the weather a week ago last Monday, so no news there yet ... Thanks!
It's amazing how many health problems are caused by this garbage. It really does come down to "you are what you eat" - - if you eat CRAP, you're going to feel like CRAP. Unfortunately, many folks don't realize just how good they COULD feel. They mistakenly believe they feel "good," and seem to not think much of all the headaches, body aches, digestive distress, etc. I wish I could get EVERYONE to realize how preventable the majority of this stuff is. Unfortunately, the TV tells us that it's "normal" to feel this way, so why would we ever think to DO anything about it?!? Sad, sad, sad. So most people feel "normal"/"average" and don't even realize that that is NOT what feeling GOOD feels like....
I can relate to what you say about the mother-in-law b/c essentially NO ONE in my family heeds my warnings (i suppose b/c they feel "fine") :(
It's also tough for folks to accept b/c of the lifestyle change that it would involve, and in their defense...the Standard American Diet (and lifestyle) IS very addicting....
I'm so excited for your blog; I really appreciate you taking the time. I KNOW that as more and more of us come forward, we will strike a cord with more and more folks. The change is coming. It's inevitable! :)
Wow, Shawna! Thanks for posting all of this info! I am familiar with Dr. Ryan :) I was just talking with her at a conference today, actually (along with her nurse). I gave them the info about this site. Maybe they'll join? Dr. Ryan mentioned she is speaking soon to the Family Practice Dept. at the Med Center! Exciting, huh!?!?
I also have Blaylock's books/DVS and have read Mercola's book, as well. I LOVE Blaylock's videos on the web! He's so scientific/credible, but also explains it well for laymen. As I may have mentioned, I was told I had Fibromyalgia years ago, but as long as I avoid glutamate/aspartate and all of the hidden sources of glutamate, I feel perfectly fine...so it's a topic that, like you, I've spent a LOT of time researching :)
Again, thanks so much for posting all of this. If you have time, feel free to cut and paste all of what you've written here and post it as a blog on the "Blogs" page. Then I can post a link to it on our Facebook page and send it out to our members on here. It'd be great for everyone to hear it from you and not just from ME! :)
