OMG! We can only take so many cloudy, chilly, windy, foggy and/or rainy days before we need to get the heck out of our house (i.e., RV) and go do something!

The other day we headed out to a couple museums here in Corpus. First, the Museum of Science & History...

And then over to the Art Museum next door...

Cameras aren't allowed inside the art museum, but here are a few highlights from our afternoon at the Museum of Science & History. First up, a tour of replicas of the Columbus ships. These were built by Spain to celebrate the 500 year anniversary of the Columbus trip, and these ships actually sailed over here to America in 1992!

The ships have deteriorated quite a bit since 1992, but we were able to board one of them, and we enjoyed an informative tour...

That was pretty much the highlight of that museum for us. I'm sure there's much more to enjoy, but we just aren't really the museum-type...whatever that means. But we found a few ways to occupy ourselves since we were there....

Oh, this was pretty cool, though! This bird lost its legs to a coyote trap, and (I don't remember the details, but...) someone made prosthetic legs for it...and it lived happily ever after! Crazy! (Well, eventually it died of a heart attack and ended up here on display...but it got along just fine on these legs until then). :)

If you get tired of all that museum walking, you can always saddle up with me and my buddy here...

Check out the 2 videos below to experience the super cool water fountain we happened upon outside the museums...love it!!! (Oh, and watch me show off my "mad soccer skills" in the second video, too! Ha!)

Oh, and if you haven't already, be sure to click here and subscribe to my blog for tips for living the healthy, happy life you soooooooooo deserve!

Don't hate on my soccer skills! LOL! Digital imitations of sports aren't all they're cracked up to be....the response time on that ball was whack! ;)
